iPowerWeb Account Setup for Persony MeetingsIf you have a shared hosting account from iPowerWeb, one of Persony's affiliated hosting partners, please follow the steps below to set up your account for hosting Persony meetings. The setup only applies to iPowerWeb's Business Pro Shared Hosting accounts. 1. Logon to vDeck and navigate to Host Manager -> File Manager -> public_html
2. Create a new directory under "public_html" for hosting Persony meetings. In this example, we create a directory called "meeting". The directory must be under "public_html", which is your Web site's home directory.
3. Navigate to Host Manager -> FTP Manager -> User Management
4. Create an FTP user for hosting meetings. In this example, we create a new user called "host1", whose home directory is /public_html/meeting, which is the directory we created earlier for hosting Persony meetings. Make sure to enter /public_html (not /public_ftp as it is by default) so it can be accessed from your Web site.
5. Open VShow's Edit/Options/Meeting Web Site dialog box. Select "Use my Web site" and create a new Web site profile by clicking on the + icon next to the profile list. Enter the ftp server, user name, and password of the FTP user you created. The username needs to include the domain name. Click the Browse button to select the meeting directory. We will choose the home directory "/", which is linked to the "/public_html/meeting" directory that we created in the last step. The URL of the meeting directory should be http://your_server_name/meeting. Click "Verify Login" and you should get an OK message. Otherwise, please recheck the steps or click the "Help" button for details about the errors. Your first FTP account typically takes 24-48 hours to function after your domain is set up. If you cannot connect to your FTP account with VShow, please try to connect with an FTP client or Internet Explorer by entering the ftp://ftp_login:password@your_server_name to IE's address bar to see if the account is up. If you don't have a domain name set up for your account, the ftp server field should be something like: "host123.ipowwerweb.com" and the URL field should be like "http://host123.ipowerweb.com/~my_account/meeting". Please consult the information you received from iPowerWeb.
6. You are now set up to host meetings. Select File/New Meeting Room in VShow to create a new meeting room. You should run "Meeting Room Check" (in VShow's Tools menu) to verify if your meeting room is set up properly and to check your network connection speeds. Notes:
